The 2000 Millennium Exhibition was held in North Greenwich, London, the city of Greenwich Mean Time. At the center of the venue celebrating the millennium was the Millennium Dome. This is the world's largest dome-shaped structure, housing 12 pavilions divided into themed zones. The use of a membrane roof made this scale possible.
